On our quest to re-unite children with nature, we have curated a program which will expose kids to completely organic farm and ways to adopt a sustainable model and eco-friendly lifestyle. We want our children to know what is like to take a step behind and see the beauty of nature and what it has to offer.
This is a program curated for children about the traditional and self-sufficient lifestyle close to the nature. By way of this, we will be
- Supporting and understanding the farming
- Working in the farm
- Learning about various composting practices,
- Learning and supporting the local communities
- Addressing children about the real world issues regarding environment and the need for organic food materials
- Interacting with the local community children and exchanging knowledge
- Developing problem solving models like low energy construction techniques like cob house and local materials for creating houses, compost pit toilets, sustainable, vegan cooking techniques, water conservation and passive solar energy utilization.
Additionally, we will also be doing a nature walks to the sunset point and taking a tour of the village.
The program is a 3-day program in Krishnagiri Dist of Tamil Nadu, which is 40 km from Bangalore.
The program is structured in such a way that children will understand and identify the problems, have fruitful discussions with the community, come up with solution models and implement the solutions with the help of experts.
This program will widen the horizon of understanding of children and expose them to a more healthy and holistic lifestyle.
