TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
A holiday to get initiated into bird watching with the experts at Camp Forktail Creek.
Includes time at Camp Forktail Creek, Bhakrakot village, Kumeria & other spots
by Kosi River.

Day 1: Arrive at Camp Forktail Creek
Arrive into Camp by noon. Lunch and then we spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding forest and streams for tracks, sounds and signs of life around. Apart from all the avisfera mentioned above you could also see Grey Bellied Tesia, Brown Fish Owl, Collared Falconet and Scaly breasted Wren Babbler.
Return to Camp by evening for tea, campfire, dinner and overnight stay in locally handcrafted mud huts. Day 2: Birding in and around Camp
A full day to walk & bird in and around Camp.
The day starts early in the mixed deciduous forests around Camp and then a visit to the Bhakrakot village which could reap birds like the Fire Tailed Sunbird, Blue Throat, Scarlet Minivet, Black Hooded Oriole, Black Crested Bulbul, Zitting Cisticola, Striated Prinia, Crested Treeswift, Eurasian Hobby, Collared Falconet and Rufous Bellied Eagle.
An afternoon by the stream for Kingfishers (you might find all recorded species right here!) Forktails, Brown and Tawny Fish Owl.
Back to Camp by late evening. All meals with tea/ coffee throughout the day at Camp.
Overnight stay in the mud huts. Day 3: Birding along Kosi River
Depart early morning by jeep to scout & hopefully sight the Ibsbill by Kosi River.
A full day by the banks of Kosi River.
Breakfast and lunch would go packed, specially prepared by the team at Camp.
We would start early for the Ibislbill and work our way upstream till Kumeria. Species to look out for would be Tawny and Brown Fish Owl, Little and Spotted Forktail, Pallas Fish Eagle, Silver Eared Mesia, Brown Dipper, Kingfishers?Back to Camp by evening. Night in Camp.
Day 4: Morning in Camp and then depart
Early morning bird-walk around Camp, a lavish breakfast and then depart for onward destination.
