Summer is here and the best way to beat the heat is through salads. They are quick, easy, healthy and tasty too. This workshop is for all those who enjoy eating salads or would like to know how to create that perfect bowl of a salad using local grains for individuals or for a gathering.
Farmizen in collaboration with Acefoodie invites you to "Salads as Mains" workshop held at Blue Jamoon Farms
What will you learn
You will learn to make 3 amazing salads which can be a nutritious meal for those busy days! We will be using some fresh ingredients from the farm in our salads.
1. Nutty Barley and Lentil Salad - the combination of hearty barley and nutty, crunchy almonds and walnuts is well balanced by the contrasting tastes and textures.
2. Avocado and Millet Tabbouleh - tabbouleh is traditionally served as part of the mezze in the Middle East, but it also makes excellent salad on its own. The millet and avocado in this version gives it a fresh dimension.
3. Cauliflower and Almond Salad with Tahini Dressing - cauliflower and tahini are a match made in heaven and the addition of crunchy roasted almonds, cumin and greens elevate this dish to another level.
