Khanak Joshi-child prodigy (Sufi Singer) is a 12 year old from the small town of Shirdi, Maharashtra state, India.
From her early childhood she was initiated into Indian Hindustani Classical Music. Gradually her interest grew in Sufi Style Music and she began pursuing that from various learned teachers in this field. Currently she is learning from Ustad Harikishan Pahwa ji…In 2013 she won world wide talent hunt competition organized by Shankar Mahadevan (well known music director and singer) and Indus International School, Bangalore, India. She won the competition and was accepted as student by Indus International School offering her 100% scholarship.
Her you-tube videos have millions of views on her songs. She has learnt Urdu language to involve deeply in Sufi Singing as most of the poetry by various learned poets of yester-years is written in Urdu and Persian Languages.
