Formed in 2009, Big Bang Blues started out with the electric blues sound and over the years it has evolved into a more Blues-Rock act. The five-piece band creates its sound from the diverse influences from Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan to Aretha Franklin, Etta james. Big Bang Blues has performed at Mahindra Blues'13 (sharing stage with Walter Trout, Robert Randolf, Dana Fuchs), Simply the Blues'14, they were also among the 12 finalists out of 118 bands chosen from around the world at the Cotai Jazz and Blues Festival'13 in Macau. In 2012 they released their debut EP 'Bigger than Blues' for which Ipshita Roy was nominated for the 'Best Female Rock Vocalist' at the JD Rock Awards'13.
In 2016, Big Bang Blues(BBB) underwent a huge change with the NEW vocalist Diyatom Deb joining us and the bands engines driven by the BlueRock sound. The bands sound has evolved over the years since its inception in 2009. We started out playing Blues with Janis Joplin, Muddy Waters later progressing to Steve Ray Vaughan, Etta James and now are re-inventing ourselves as we dig the experimental sound with Southern-Rock roots and hard hitting blues.
Words have limitation to explain ‘Sound’, something’s are better left for the ears to judge and acknowledge.
Band Members:-
Diyatom Deb - Vocals
Sushant Thakur - Guitars/Slide
Akhil Kumar - Drums
Barun Sinha - Bass
