Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was born on13 October 1948 and died on 16 August 1997) He was a Pakistani vocalist, primarily a singer of Qawwali, the devotional music of the Sufis. Widely considered one of the greatest voices ever recorded, he possessed an extraordinary range of vocal abilities and could perform at a high level of intensity for several hours. Extending the 600-year old Qawwali tradition of his family, Khan Sahib was widely credited with introducing Qawwali music to international audiences. He is popularly known as "Shahenshah-e-Qawwali",

 

Born in Faisalabad, Khan Sahib had his first public performance at the age of 16, at his father's Death Anniversary. He became the head of the family Qawwali group in 1971. Khan Sahib went on to release albums in Europe, India, Japan, Pakistan and the US. He engaged in collaborations and experiments with Western artists, becoming a well-known world music artist. He toured extensively, performing in over 40 countries.

 

 Khanak Joshi-child prodigy (Sufi Singer).She was born on 18th May 2006  in small town of Shirdi, Maharashtra state, India.

From her early childhood she was initiated into Indian Hindustani Classical Music. Gradually her interest grew in Sufi Style Music and she began pursuing that from various learned teachers in this field. Currently she is learning from Ustad Harikishan Pahwa Ji…In 2013 She won world wide talent hunt competition organized by Shankar Mahadevan (well known music director and singer).

She showed great improvement in her singing and was invited to perform at various Govt. Cultural Organizations, Private Organizations and National Festivals across India…She has achieved accolades from National and International Press and TV. Her you-tube videos have millions of views on her Sufi songs. She has learnt Urdu language to involve deeply in Sufi Singing as most of the poetry by various learned poets of yester-years is written in Urdu and Persian Languages.

 She sings in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi & Persian.
