The traditional Kerala mural art is a fresco secco painting which has a unique style of drawing, depiction and color schemes. These paintings depict scenes and subjects from mythology and legends. Originally painted on the walls of temples and palaces, kerala mural paintings are now-a-days seen painted on plywood, canvas, cloth etc.
Kerala mural paintings are a fine art of skill and creative excellence. A mural is an art work painted or applied directly onto walls,ceilings or any other permanent surfaces like plyboards,canvas etc.The most frequently used pigments in kerala murals are only panchavarna colours.
Teaching: The 5 day workshop aims at completing a 12 inch *16 inch kerala mural painting in detailed steps
All materials will be provided.
Dates: Sept 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and Oct 1st
