INVOLVEMENT

THE PATH

• Day 1 - Manali to Kaza (It's a bone-crushing challenge. Ride over the roughest patch of Gramphu-Batal; climb the 11km vertical zigzags of Kunzum La; arrive at the desert landscape of Spiti)
• Day 2 - Kaza to Tabo (short hike to a shepherd village on the way)
• Day 3 - Tabo to Mudh (Tabo gompa and caves in the morning; Rare tribal dance)
• Day 4 - Mudh to Dhankar via the Golden Gompa (optional hike to Dhankar lake; evening prayer at Dhankar Gompa)
• Day 5 - Dhankar to Komic via Langtza; then on to Kibber via Ki Gompa (highest motorable village and highest post office; ride on grueling high altitude roads and dirt tracks; two serious climbs; deep sea fossils at 4200m)
• Day 6 - Kaza to Chandra Taal (hike up to the lake; celebratory bonfire at night)
• Day 7 - Chandra Taal to Manali
