Headstart was established as a nursery and primary school in 1995 by Mrs. Sudha Mahesh. In the 17 years since then, the institution has grown into HLC International - one of Chennai's top schools, offering quality education that shapes the lives of bright young children at all grade levels.

We have pioneered a new individualized learning program that emphasizes skill-based learning, and uses a wide range of teaching methods - debates, discussions, role-play, simulations and modeling techniques - all of which engages children fully in learning by experience.

HLC's history has been one of continuous growth, resulting finally in the establishment of our brand new, 400-student, international-standard campus at Shollinganallur. In this new facility, the proven pedagogic strengths of HLC are further enhanced by innovative design and environment-friendly infrastructure.
