The Ecole Francaise Internationale de Bombay (EFIB) was founded in 1983. It is a private institution established under Indian Governing Laws as a non-profit organization (Charity Trust). The School is overseen by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), a part of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which includes more than 450 schools in 130 countries.

The Kindergarten and the Primary sections of EFIB offer a bilingual education to all its students; An Education not just in French, but in English too.The students spend an equal amount of time in this unique bilingual environment throughout the academic year. Being the only exclusive bilingual school in Bombay, EFIB students, aged 2-18, have the opportunity to be a part of a bilingual melting pot of cultures.
