Learn the age-old process of block printing in our 2-Day workshop and take home exotic patterns that you create.

Woodblock printing is the process of printing patterns on textiles, usually of linen, cotton or silk, by means of incised wooden blocks. It is capable of yielding highly artistic results, some of which are unobtainable by any other method.

Date: Saturday & Sunday, 25th & 26th May 2019
Time: 10 am to 1 pm
Fee: Rs. 2000/- (inclusive of all materials)
Seats: 10 • Age: 15 years and above

Day 1: Introduction to block printing techniques by a master printer from Rajasthan. Use of direct dyes and other accessories. Participants practice on cotton cloth with engraved wooden blocks in three-color printing.
Day 2: Participants to bring their own Dupatta, Stole, Shirt or Kurti (cotton or silk only) to create their own unique designs.

• All materials, dyes, and fabric shall be provided by the Unit on Saturday.
• Participants can bring above-mentioned dress material for printing on Sunday
