A theatre walk that explores 14th century Delhi through the eyes of its most intriguing emperor, Muhammad-bin Tughlaq

ABOUT THE WALK:
Set in the fourth walled city of Delhi, Jahanpanah which was constructed by the second Tuglaq Emperor Mohammad-bin-Tughlaq, the walk will involve exploring the fascinating remains of this city and sharing stories from the enthralling life of Mohammad-bin Tughlaq. The storytelling will be interspersed with a captivating theatrical performance by a trained theatre actor, giving a glimpse into the dual life of one the most visionary Emperors of India.
NOTE: the Walk will be conducted in English and theatre performance will be conducted in Hindustani, however, the narrator will translate the dialogues to English.
ABOUT THE WALK LEADER:
Nitika Arora is a theatre professional and an actor since the last 10 years. She is formally trained in a yearlong intensive theatre-making and acting course from The Drama School Mumbai. She is a post-graduate in Social Work from the Delhi University. She is trained for three years contemporary jazz from The Danceworx. She is one of the co-founders of Darwesh and looks into the performance aspect of the work.
HOW TO REACH:
Via Metro: get down at Hauz Khas metro station gate no 2, take the subway and then start walking towards Sarvapriya Vihar, take the first right cut and from the T point turn right a little further you will see a small market and from there turn left.
Via Road: take outer ring road to reach Sarvapriya Vihar. If you are coming from the AIIMs or IIT side, then take then after crossing the HauzKhas metro station take a U-turn from underneath the over-bridge and then take the first left. Come straight and from the T point turn right a little further you will see a small market and from there turn left. Parking is available at in front of the Jahanpanah complex.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
1] Carry water bottles as necessary
2] Wear comfortable footwear
