The art of embroidery has existed throughout time, dating as far back as 5th century BC. Despite its centuries-old origins, this timeless craft has continually been re-energized by visionary artists who push the boundaries of its meaning and limits. 

Many of our modern associations with embroidery, like needlepoint samplers or cheeky cross-stitch pillows, seem quaint, but the medium is used in diverse and complex ways.

This is a contemporary hand embroidery workshop, starting with learning basics of the colour wheel to understand what colours work with each other and few basic embroidery stitches. We then move onto creating an art piece using those stitches to take back home in just 3 hours, made by you, your experience and your creativity. All skill levels are welcome!! Beginners, art enthusiasts, parents, hobbyists...we work with every participant at an individual level. All material required for the workshop will be provided.
