Romanian Embassy in New Delhi represents Romania in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Maldives, promotes and defends the interests of the Romanian state and provide consular protection of Romanian citizens in accordance with international law, the Romanian legislation and the respective states.

Embassy stimulate and support dialogue between Member Romanian institutions and accreditation in the areas of cooperation of mutual interest in order to obtain benefits for the development of bilateral relations. In this regard, the Embassy aims to identify and exploit opportunities for cooperation and promoting mutual knowledge and understanding between representatives of political circles, economic and cultural ties between our country and member above.
