This Sunday Kalplata is back with its range of kitchen essentials. All excellent quality, some specialities are: coconut oil is from tree-dried coconuts, the sugar is high in molasses, honey is from Udaipur’s tribal area where bees are not hurt and whole moong is indigenous & aged. One year old cereals & pulses are better for your health than freshly harvested. Parul, founder of Kalplata, also grows many crops herself including flax seeds. She is coming specially for us from Ahmedabad and will also serve chana sattu which is a summer drink. Come discuss your organic queries with her 🌸

Also meet Kunal, a very young farmer, who is bringing organic ghee this Sunday and is vociferous about organic, come engage with him and become aware of his organic findings 🌼

The Vedic healer will not be there this Sunday, it is becoming unsustainable for him to come every Sunday from Shahpur, we have adviced him to keep a donation box for people to give him a consultation fee over and above the cost of the medicine. This way you can consult with him even if you don’t want to take his medicine. You can also simply have your pulse read & get some advice for a fee. He is also finalizing the labels for all his products before he returns in a couple of weeks 👍🏽

We have all read the news about adulterated spices in our midst. Growing organic & buying organic are the only way to ensure safe food. The stuff in our food and environment is pretty shocking to say the least. We were repairing our kitchen and were in for a major shock when pipes were laid by our local plumber. But that is matter for another note later 😳

The cafe will be in the badminton court once again. In a way it works well for now because this area is cooler than the bigger space ⛅️

Whilst it gets hotter, you also get loads of vitamin D, stock up for the rains 🌞

Incase it is not evident, it takes quite a bit of our energy to put this market together. Please ensure that every person you know is aware of its existence 😇

Most importantly we all have to remember to say NO to genetically modified foods 👿
