About:
Yours Truly Theatre presents Not Going To Supermarket - a clown theatre play.
Witness a few nonchalant clowns whose lives are stuck in the vicious cycle of being born, being educated, being interviewed, and being offered a job so that one day they could finally line up in the supermarket to buy stuff that they don't need. All those wise men and women standing in that same long line. way far behind you. Repeat cycle. The play is a clownish take on the continuous churning of humans as objects. It is a commentary on the competitive aspect of the contemporary educational system and a reflection of the dehumanization by the corporate assembly line. This musical performance, riddled with dark humor, explores themes of nihilistic existentialism, using elements of the murky yet poetic clownish premises Phew. Dropped some heavy and important sounding words there, isn't it? Just to intellectualize a simple day to day life, which, for a clown means complete nonsense.
Okay. Nice speech. Now what?
Gather around, wise men and women. For a change, let's make a fool of ourselves. Come join the clown revolution.
